This 60-90 minute appointment is more than just an assessment; it’s an opportunity to share your story. We’ll explore your hair and scalp health in depth, discussing your lifestyle, medical history, family background, and any concerns you have. Using trichoscopy, we’ll conduct a detailed physical examination, allowing us to gain valuable insights and discuss possible outcomes and solutions with clarity and care.
Before your visit, you’ll receive a pre-consultation form to help us understand your needs and ensure we make the most of your time in our clinic.

Follow up appointments.
Depending on your diagnosis, a follow up appointment may be required. This is a shorter appointment to keep track of your journey, look at your hair/scalp to determine the effectiveness of treatments and if a treatment plan needs adjusting, or even to just receive further advice along the line.
As we all know with our hair and scalp nothing is a quick fix and follow up appointments can put your mind at ease and aid in your journey.

Treatments
At House of Trichology we offer a wide array of treatments from deep scalp cleansing to long term topical treatments for hair loss.
During our consultation treatments may be discussed. This can be anything from including some extra vitamins and supplements to your diet to topical treatments and shampoos. Once we have discussed at length your options we will build a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
If and when we determine a treatment plan specifically suited to you, treatments can be carried out in the clinic or at home treatments are available to purchase on the day of your appointment. You can also now shop online at our very own House of Trichology shop!

TrichoTest
Fagron TrichoTest is a DNA test which analyses over 13 genes and 48 genetic variations related to hair loss. It helps to recommend topical medical treatments and supplements based on your genetic profile.
Hair loss is a progressive condition affecting both men and women in dramatic numbers and resulting from a variety of causes. This DNA swab test now puts an end to the typical approach of blindly self treating this condition with whatever you source from the internet that comes recommended from your friends. Just because something works for our friends does not mean it will work for us. By taking this test, you now have the ability to KNOW what is causing YOUR hair loss or thinning problem and then treat accordingly.
This simple test is carried out in clinic which is then sent to the lab for testing along with a full medical questionnaire we will go through together. We will then receive your full report which will give us the best treatment options for you based on your genetic profile. From here we can use those results to target treatment specifically for you to get the best results for you and your hair.

Medical Microneedling
Micro needling is an aesthetic procedure in which a needling device is used to stamp the scalp with microderm needles, creating up to 1300 micro channels on the scalp per second. This process penetrates the epidermis creating a controlled wound which allows for the body’s natural healing response to target the scalp and in particular the hair. By targeting specific areas of the scalp, this technique promotes collagen and elastin production. Additionally, it stimulates keratinocytes, melanocytes, and fibroblasts all of which are key components in healthy skin and hair formation.

Please note that a course of 6 sessions will be required and your progress will be monitored throughout. Additional 'top up' treatments are optional but suggested at 3, 6 and 12 months following your course of treatment.
