This 60–90 minute appointment is more than just an assessment—it’s a chance to share your story. We’ll explore your hair and scalp health in depth, discussing your lifestyle, medical history, family background, and any concerns you may have. Using advanced trichoscopy and HairMetrix AI imaging, we’ll conduct a detailed physical examination and capture high-resolution, real-time data to help us understand your follicular activity and scalp condition with exceptional clarity.
You’ll receive a pre-consultation form ahead of your visit to help us understand your needs and ensure we make the most of your time in clinic.

Follow up & medication check in
Follow-Up Appointments
Depending on your diagnosis, a follow-up appointment may be recommended. These shorter sessions are designed to monitor your progress, assess the effectiveness of treatments, and adjust your plan if needed. They’re also a great opportunity to ask questions, receive further advice, or simply gain reassurance as you continue your journey.

Medication Check-In Appointments
For patients prescribed medication through our pharmacy partner, The Compounding Chemist, we offer dedicated check-in appointments to ensure your treatment remains safe, effective, and fully tailored to your evolving needs.
These 30-minute sessions are required at least twice per year and include a review of your progress, any side effects, and adjustments if necessary. They’re an essential part of your care plan and help us maintain close collaboration with our prescribing partners.

Treatments
At House of Trichology we offer a wide array of treatments from deep scalp cleansing to long term topical treatments for hair loss.
During our consultation treatments may be discussed. This can be anything from including some extra vitamins and supplements to your diet to topical treatments and shampoos. Once we have discussed at length your options we will build a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
If and when we determine a treatment plan specifically suited to you, treatments can be carried out in the clinic or at home treatments are available to purchase on the day of your appointment. You can also now shop online at our very own House of Trichology shop!

TrichoTest
Fagron TrichoTest is a DNA test which analyses over 13 genes and 48 genetic variations related to hair loss. It helps to recommend topical medical treatments and supplements based on your genetic profile.
Hair loss is a progressive condition affecting both men and women in dramatic numbers and resulting from a variety of causes. This DNA swab test now puts an end to the typical approach of blindly self treating this condition with whatever you source from the internet that comes recommended from your friends. Just because something works for our friends does not mean it will work for us. By taking this test, you now have the ability to KNOW what is causing YOUR hair loss or thinning problem and then treat accordingly.
This simple test is carried out in clinic which is then sent to the lab for testing along with a full medical questionnaire we will go through together. We will then receive your full report which will give us the best treatment options for you based on your genetic profile. From here we can use those results to target treatment specifically for you to get the best results for you and your hair.
